Who are We?
The Jamaican Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL) began as JAMAL Foundation in 1973. As an agency of the Ministry of Education, the JFLL supports the UNESCO goal of basic Education for All (EfA) by 2015 and the national drive towards the achievement of universal secondary education (Grade 11).

CIDA/Boys Town Partnership Launch 13th May 2010
The idea and need for Partnership based projects is an important one for CIDA. Indeed, we are so serious about this, that a special fund was created specifically to support projects that had, as a central feature the formation of state and civil society partnerships. CIDA allocated over CDN$2.5 million dollars specifically for Partnership projects!
Boys Town 15-18 Youth Development Project Overview
For the past decade, the Jamaican society has turned its eyes to a growing social problem called Youths-At-Risk. According to a Policy Note, entitled “Youths-at-Risk in Jamaica”, Loraine Blank and Mari Minowa explained, “Many youths in Jamaica, especially in urban areas, face environmental; social and family conditions that hinder their personal development and successful integration in the economy and society”.
JFLL head challenges local leaders to ‘Think Literacy’ for greater economic returns
Executive Director of the Jamaican Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL) Dr. Alison Cross yesterday challenged captains of industry and social leaders to move concerns about Jamaica’s lagging literacy rate from the periphery to the centre of deliberations about productivity and prosperity. Addressing the weekly luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of St. Andrew at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Dr. Cross opined:

If the truth be told one never stops learning as learning is a continued process. Every day we learn something new. What do we do with this new knowledge however? Against the odds - From school dropout to budding engineer
When Fabian Lawes came to the end of primary school at age 11, his grades were so dismal no high school would take him.
For the next three years, Lawes was out of school and nobody thought he would one day become anything successful.
